End of Old Things, Beginning of the New.

My outfit is a mix of black and pink because my background was really colorful. I mixed my new Maurice's jeans with a Forever 21 blouse (clearance-$6!) & of course I added the two hand beaded earrings that are still for sale ($25). Also in the last picture, I turned my Maurice's fedora around!
 I really can't believe that the year is coming to an end. Just to think of all that our world has been through this year is mind boggling. This year I've accomplished much! Fashion wise, I started this blog, was introduced to Forever 21 , Modcloth, & Shop Ruche,  bought my first Anthropologie item, and  decided to dye my hair red! In Literature, I read books like The Great Gatsby, Of Mice and Men, Jane Eyre, and am now tackling A Tale of Two Cities. With those things being pretty small in the great scheme of things, I am still proud of my little accomplishments along the long road of life. One of my favorite parts of a New Year is going through all my pictures of the past year.  In these pictures I see how my look and my style has developed. January 2011 showed my style as a quirky girl, while December finished me as someone who mixes the feminine colors and  laces with anything vintage.  So, what is your favorite thing about the New Years??

Rocking in Red: the month of December

I LOVE RED. Especially since that is my new hair color: an auburn red. So, I thought it would be appropriate to make red the month of December's color. Beginning in the 20th century & ending with the present is a timeline of clothes containing the color red! I hope everyone has a great new year & great plans for this upcoming year. My new years resolution? Wear more RED.

Thanksgiving looks from my favorite shops.

 Picture the family at the Thanksgiving table. You gaze at your sister's dress that you wish you had spotted first. What about your cousin's precious earrings?
I run into this problem every year. Thanksgiving clothes. Because of Thanksgiving day's cooking ventures, I never want to ruin any of my nice outfits,so I end up wearing an old sweatshirt && some jeans. That's fine, but how could I resist dressing nice this year with all the great fall clothes out there! Why not check out the top 5 Thanksgiving essentials as you celebrate Thanksgiving this year. Enjoy! :)

1. The PERFECT Thanksgiving blouse at Anthropologie. I could totally walk into the dining room wearing this and walk out with everybody hating my great sense of style guts.
Check it out ----> http://www.anthropologie.com/anthro/catalog/productdetail.jsp?id=22886600&catId=CLOTHES-NEW&pushId=CLOTHES-NEW&popId=CLOTHES&navCount=78&color=068&isProduct=true&fromCategoryPage=true&isSubcategory=true&subCategoryId=CLOTHES-NEW-SWEATERS&templateType=subCategory

2. The PERFECT Thanksgiving hat. Only available from one of my favorites (http://shopruche.com/) For some reason I can picture a 1940s reporter girl wearing this... Hmmm...

3. All the world should know that my favorite store is Modcloth (http://www.modcloth.com ). So, logically, I have to pick favorites && choose one of their items!( No, seriously, it's adorable)!
4. Okay, Thanksgiving or not, these are just wonderful. Why? Well, they go with everything, they match my #1 Anthropologie shirt, & they are again from Modcloth. Perfect.

5. Last, but certainly not least , here is a sneak peek of one of Daily Fashionologie's very own creations. The earrings separately are $25, but with the purse it's only $40. It's a great deal && is so perfect! They are handcrafted beauties that I hope someone has the pleasure of wearing.

Well, that's a wrap for my Thanksgiving style finds! Now, you can't tell all your friends an excuse for NOT wearing a cute outfit on Thanksgiving.

What's lovelier than buying a beautiful new pair of earrings?

                    "Were you not lovely I would leave you now. " -Edna St. Vincent Millay

Do You Like Them? You are welcome to share any feeling that you have towards them. The earrings are priced at $25 ( Holiday special), though they are really worth much more than that, since they were done by hand. If you have any questions concerning them, please comment :)

Wednesday Feline Fashion : Baby the Leopard

 Today marks the day that I am publishing my first Daily Fashionologie post.  Daily Fashionologie, a daily study of fashion (from my closet to every corner of the world), is starting a Wednesday tradition of Feline Fashion (dedicated to my favorite animal). Although Cary Grant and Katharine Hepburn were the celebrity icons in Bringing up Baby, the true shining star of the show was Baby ( played by 'Nissa' the Leopard).  Baby may have given leopards a bad rap with her cute kitten playfulness.  Don't worry, the next time I see a leopard, I won't start singing " I can't give you anything but love."(Don't understand? Watch the movie and find out).  However Baby's personality played out, Baby illuminated the screen with her natural leopard print against Hepburn's metallic dress. When Bringing up Baby opened in theaters, the leopard print was becoming more and more popular in fashion history.  Vogue wrote that "As costumes evolved in the 30s and 40s, the animal print rendered the most famous actresses of all time, like Joan Crawford, Carole Lombard, Rita Hayworth, Bette Davis and Josephine Baker."  So, the next time you want to have a little bit of a vintage 30s style, add some leopard prints to your wardrobe. For those of you who come across any real animal furs, let's remember to stay true to the faux fur method in keeping God's beautiful creatures alive.  Well, I guess that's the wrap for Daily Fashionologie's first Feline Fashion post.  Good Night to all my little blog readers. :)
